Lisa writes from Baguio, where she resides with 7 dogs and 4 vintage cars. A firm believer in that if there's anything one should be generous about it would be information, she now supplements Go Baguio! with inside tips on visiting, living and doing business in this cool, cool city in the mist.

Baguio Business Directory

Written by lisa on Dec 10th, 2006 | Filed under: baguio, business & economy

BBD is the Baguio Business Directory service of GoBaguio!

It can be accessed 2 ways:

1. Go to the GoBaguio! homepage and click “Directory” on the navigation menu;

2. Go directly to http://bbd.gobaguio.com

If you own a business with a Baguio address, you may get your business listed for FREE! This includes business name, address, primary telephone number.

If you have a business without a Baguio address, cheap paid listings are available too.

FREE listings may also upgrade to enhanced listings (business name, description, full address, telephone numbers, fax number, business hours, email, url link) at a minimal cost.

To get listed, please visit bbd.gobaguio.com

Why does Go Baguio! have this service?

1. Since many telephone companies operate in Baguio City, each with their own directory, there is not one single directory where you can find ALL Baguio businesses listed

2. Even if there were that one single directory, it would not necessarily be published on the web, and most folks planning a trip or to do business check the web first to see what’s out there

3. A lot of folks in Baguio do business via mobile phones (for years, Baguio residents were deprived of a land line so now everybody has a cellphone instead), and there is no directory available for mobile phone listings

4. Most web directories publish links to websites only. Since either Baguio folks are old fashioned or the internet service in Baguio is poor (yet expensive), they do not have websites for their businesses, so a “typical” phone book style directory is essential

5. It will make Go Baguio! your compleat guide to Baguio City, Philippines.

What makes the Baguio Business Directory special?

1. Basic listings for businesses with Baguio addresses is FREE, to encourage everyone to sign up

2. Upgrades are available and cheap, too, to enhance one’s visibility

3. The categories are general yet complete. You will not get lost in a maze of sub-directories and sub-sub-sub directories to find that ONE place. For example, lodging establishments like hotels, inns, persion houses, transient homes are in one category.

4. Since Go Baguio! is the top portal for Baguio City, currently ranking #2 in Yahoo and #3 in Google without being topped by any one single website in both search engines, the likelihood of a business being found on the web is greater through www.gobaguio.com
