Beautiful Baguio

Written by lisa on Jan 23rd, 2008 | Filed under: baguio

Here is a wonderful collage of photos made by Luisacart. It is one of the most popular videos about Baguio on You Tube that I’d like to share with you. This is Beautiful Baguio seen from the eyes of someone who is now in the U.S. and who proudly listsĀ  “Baguio Citeeh” as her hometown!

These pictures made me homesick. Witnessed them all growing up in Baguio. The clouds hugging the mountains, the sunrises and sunsets , rows of trees lining up a hill, the mountains, beautiful mountains…..these are worth going back home for. Thanks for sharing. Kindly post some more pictures.

    Hi Lisa,

The title of this video is very appropriate “Beautiful Baguio”.

I visited Baguio for 3 whole days last month. I walked around the heart of the city from Harrison Road to Rizal Monument to Baguio Central School along Kayang St to the city market and wound up at Malcolm Square for 5 solid hours and this is enough for me to say the least. It was so filthy. I felt so depressed when I compared the Baguio we knew for 24 years since the early ’50’s. Gone!

Yup Manny, anything but the center of town — and the congested residential shantied hills — is worth coming back for. And we residents will do our best to make Baguio a great place to visit and live in.

Hi Zigzag, please read other posts in this site. It is my opinion that the destruction of Baguio is a deliberate move on the Mayor’s part to arrogate unto himself, and his lucrative family businesses all the lands and monies of Baguio for free by destroying tourism and making the Baguio economy rely on the diploma mills. It’s a bold accusation, I know, but watch the moves, read the news…

Hi lisa, been checkin’ your blog from time to time.
Baguio can be returned to its former beauty if only the city will be decongested and made less urbanized.

Just would like to share some photos of Baguio I took last year when I went there.
