Padyak para Sa Binhi ng Kordi Rides Again!

In November 2008. a group of young and adventurous Cordillera natives challenged themselves to ride 24 hours non-stop across rough mountain roads. To make sure they would accomplish what they set out to do they decided to do it for the Cordillera environment, seeking pledges for seedlings or cash for every kilometer they were able to cover on their ride. Thus Padyak para sa Binhi ng Kordi was born.

On that first ride they covered 206 kilometers riding into the night, through the cold, heat, mud and rocks of the Cordillera mountains — and all in just 24 hours. They were able to raise enough money to reforest five (5) hectares in Taba-ao, Kapangan Benguet while at the same time raising the awareness of the local community about the plight of the Cordillera forests.
