The rush to secure suitable lodging accommodations for Holy Week 2007 is on!
I don’t understand why, since Baguio is most popular during Holy Week, that folks wait until the last minute to book hotel rooms and transient houses. By last minute, I mean one month before. That’s just too late already. The wise ones reserve as early as December or January.

A lady from Germany emailed me an inquiry for lodging in July at my bed & breakfast inn, and she specifically insisted on airconditioned rooms. I explained to her that Baguio hotels and other lodging accommodations, not even those that charge Php4,000/night for a room for 2 provide airconditioning (see photo). The whole of Baguio, even our golf courses, are “naturally air-cooled!”

The Baguio Flower Festival (Panagbenga) is now on its 3rd week and we just finished our very popular, ultra colorful, well-attended Parade Weekend: Street Dancing Competition on 24 February and Parade of Floats & Marching Bands on 25 February. This Go Baguio! webmaster is proud to announce that her Go Dumaguete! website debuted today at Google at search position no. 44 of about 723,000 for top keyword “dumaguete” and no. 31 of 562,000 for “dumaguete city.” It was crawled by Yahoo! a few days after publication mid January but I had a harder time getting it into Google. And to think, Yahoo charges for site submission. (see comments below). It could not be found on Google yesterday at all. And I know they re-index every Tuesday at 4:00 pm Philippine time. Next job, to inch slowly to page 1.
The website is on trial run, has about 14 pages published, and is taking longer to complete than I estimated originally because it seems that it will be a bigger website than Go Baguio! even.
So what is my formula for getting found by the crawlers?
