“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” — Margaret Mead

Tomorrow will be a beautiful day! 20-30 of us will gather, be beneficiaries of the wisdom and teachings of Nicanor Perlas. As part of our ‘assignment’ from the first workshop, we were told to watch or read “The Secret,” which is taking the world by storm.

As a parting shot last February, he revealed to us the secret behind “The Secret” — and it is this: it works best when it is done for others, and not just for yourself. Because the universe has a way of aligning itself to our wishes.

Leadership

Many visitors to this blog come here in search of answers, too. Many have their own answers to the current problems of Baguio and this is what the workshop is about — to get like-minded individuals together to solve these problems.

nicanor-perlas.jpgWhen we participated in the Baguio PAGASA Workshop last February 9 and 10, little did we realize that we were in the presence of greatness.

For Nicanor Perlas was amongst us, tirelessly, selflessly opening up our minds, body and souls to the very real possibility of changing the world to make it a wonderful place to live in.

THIS JUST IN: Nicanor Perlas’ article on THE NEW PEOPLE POWER is on the front page of Philippine Daily Inquirer (2/27/2008) today!

As I listen to Jun Lozada’s change of heart and direction, I see the influence of this smiling, enthusiastic man, who has such a tremendous respect for every living being and is busy helping everyone find the spark of “the Divine in us” as the way to solve the problems that beset our personal lives and the world. (Nicky had mentioned, only in passing, during the workshop, “I talked to Jun last week (before he left for Hong Kong) …”
