Lisa writes from Baguio, where she resides with 7 dogs and 4 vintage cars. A firm believer in that if there's anything one should be generous about it would be information, she now supplements Go Baguio! with inside tips on visiting, living and doing business in this cool, cool city in the mist.

Go Baguio! Has a New Look

Written by lisa on Nov 22nd, 2007 | Filed under: gobaguio, web/tech

gobaguio-21nov2007-300x250.jpg

In the midst of all the fretting about the local government I’ve been subjecting myself to in the past few months, would you believe I’ve managed to redesign the whole of Go Baguio!, except for the Baguio Directory pages, which will have a new look within the week? (more…)

Written by lisa on Apr 23rd, 2007 | Filed under: baguio, gobaguio, web/tech

Go Dumaguete! Debuts at Google Today

Written by lisa on Feb 13th, 2007 | Filed under: dumaguete, gobaguio, web/tech

Am so happy. This Go Baguio! webmaster is proud to announce that her Go Dumaguete! website debuted today at Google at search position no. 44 of about 723,000 for top keyword “dumaguete” and no. 31 of 562,000 for “dumaguete city.” It was crawled by Yahoo! a few days after publication mid January but I had a harder time getting it into Google. Next job, to inch slowly to page 1.

The website is on trial run, has about 14 pages published, and is taking longer to complete than I estimated originally because it seems that it will be a bigger website than Go Baguio! even.

So what is my formula for getting found by the crawlers?
